Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan recently celebrated her daughter Princess Iman's stylish wedding to Jameel Thermiotis, and in turn proved herself to be one of the most well dressed royal mother-of-the-brides of all time.

The Jordanian royal – who married her own husband King Abdullah II in 1993 – took to Instagram to share a pre-wedding snap from her daughter's henna party with her 8.1m followers.

As usual, Queen Rania exuded polish in a burgundy floor-length princess-cut gown. The crimson piece featured three quarter length sleeves and a geometric trim around the cuffs and along the V-shaped neckline.

The dress was fitted at the bodice and the skirt opened out into a central split, allowing her pale pink under layer to show through.

The queen accessorised with translucent pointed heels and wore her hair loose in supermodel-level bouncy waves. In the photo she posed alongside her daughter who looked every inch the elegant bride-to-be in a white long-sleeved gown by Reema Dahbour featuring elaborate embroidery. The princess cinched in her dress with a stunning, sentimental accessory – a thick embellished belt by Bruce Oldfield – that was originally part of Queen Rania's wedding day ensemble.

The lookalike mother-daughter duo posed alongside Ilham Yassin, the grandmother of the bride who wore a patterned brown longline gown with gilded edges, a dark waistband and beige coloured shoes.

Clearly, family is hugely important to the Jordanian royals, as evidenced by Queen Rania's recent Instagram posts. Both ahead of and after the royal wedding, the 52-year-old has been expressing her love for her family in a series of sweet captions.

Her most recent tribute to Iman’s wedding comes just days after she wished her daughter a happy future in her new marriage, "Iman, I pray this next chapter in your life brings you as much joy, love, and laughter as you have brought us over the years. Congratulations to the bride and groom!" Queen Rania wrote.
